Some of you may not have heard of Jeff Wayne's musical version of 'War of the Worlds'. If not, then I recommend you get hold of this work at the earliest opportunity, switch off the phones, telly, ipod, Steam, etc. and put it on. It's one of the most enthralling and creepy audio experiences available, from the artwork to the scary martian victory cry of
"ULLA!!!"
Funnily enough, even though this was first released before 1980, it's currently doing a live stage tour, doing the UK during December!
I always loved the design of the martian walkers. They are some of the creepiest looking machines ever. And they've constructed a bloomin 3 tonne three-storey high monster for the live show.
