World In Conflict

i highly recommend this game to anyone who loves RTS's its unique, honestly man this game is awesome, its taken my view entirely i think its one of the best games around atm.

seriously check this out
i really really really wanna make this one of the big games at LL9. surely u guys have seen it, its not for noobs, its kinda experianced like, its very STRATEGIC but arcadey at the same time in the sense ur just pouring troops constantly to the battlefield.

its set Cold War, basically the Russians invade america, theres a good single player story and all. Multiplayer involves a battlefield where it will be USSR vs US or USSR vs NATO. theres 3 game types tug of war which is kinda in the style of trench warfare where u take a line of the battlefield at a time, or u can do conquest where there are nodes dotted around in groups where u need to take them all to take a point, getting more points for dominating the most u try to dominate the field.

Whats Awesome is the GAMEPLAY where u call units down by drop plane, u choose a place to make ur drop zone, units get dropped in by plane, its immense, seeing them come down in crates, and u hear all the radio chatter of the pilots. so then u have ur units, FIRST OF ALL u choose a division: INFANTRY, ARMOUR, AIR or SUPPORT, each have there own specific weaponry for certain things, this is where u need to team work, where u have 4v4 battles each player controlling one set division, but during battles u can switch. battles can be as big as 8v8.

in that sense the gameplay can become a bit Rock Paper Scissors, but still the game is amazing.

so aswell as dropping down units from a set amount money u have which regenerates from its total as ur units will die u will get the cost of that unit back to ur reserve, so theres a lot work to be done at pushing to tactical advantage, so like if u just destroy a load of tanks u gotta move in quick!

well u get Tactical Aid Points, u get these from killing enemy units, with these u can call for stuff from the panel on the left of which there are 3 types, i cant remember them all i think there like Destructive, Passive or something else, and so u got Artillery, all diff kinds like light art, medium or heavy, then u have like specialised stuff like daisey cutter bombs which basically devastate a large area of light vehicles and also flatten trees! Oh and also there are Nukes, the effects on them are quite awesome, like the game slows down for a few secounds as the missle hits and makes a wierd noise, then the big mushroom cloud, when it happens everyone in the game will know about it. after the blast whenever u move ur camera in the area of the nukes effect the camera loses signal and frazzles , its a nice effect,

the graphics to the game are stupendous buildings blowing up, smoke, fire, explosions, artillery, dirt flying up, water splashes, trees, snow. its just so amazing, i really really really want u guys to take a look at this game, its utterly brilliant. if u dont buy it, at least download a key gen eh?

I have World in Conflict, but I don't have the attention span to keep playing it. To it's credit it kept my interest far longer than any other RTS I've ever played, it is very fast moving and huge fun, it is such a shame that I suck so badly at it.

If someone shouts out a game at LL9 I may be persuaded to join in :)

well when u buy a copy of the game, behind the manual is a little sheath which contains a disc, a copy of the trial multiplayer version and a serial code so they can play multiplayer with you, and then supposedly they buy it aswell.
