MW3 for LL17?

Hey everyone,

Was just wondering, at LL17, is there going to be an Mw3 tourney?? As my game has been dispatched, and thats what made me think

I was going to post an instant no to that, till I did some research.

It seems MW3 has proper dedicated server support, in which case it may one day make it to LlamaLAN. As has been said with other games, get it in your games list, get your friends to get it in their games list (don't have any friends coming to LlamaLAN? Why not invite some!).

We use the games list to help us pick games to play that we can pretty much guarantee a team for, so if enough people have it on the lists, it may just make it!

You only just found out it has dedi support?! They said it at the Call of Duty XP event, cos im sad enough to watch it

you say that like I should be watching every single event about every single game released. Screw that, I do have a life outside of LlamaLAN you know (shush Sykodelika )

I have to admit to being very surprised they ahve included it, but it's definately a good selling point and one that I think will get them a lot of defectors from BF3 tbh

not saying you should watch every thing about every game, but Mw3 is such a big game, im suprised you didnt hear sooner than that. Lets just hope we dont have to faff around trying to fix the server last minute, as we did cod4

Wow! They're actually seeing sense in releasing the server binaries. I _may_ purchase this game.....
Any multi-player game that gets released without dedicated server binaries, I don't ever consider purchasing (especially if EA have anything to do with it).
I admittedly haven't followed the Call of Duty games since the 2nd iteration. CoD(:UO) and CoD2 were brilliant multi-player games, weapons and most maps were just about nicely balanced. CoD4 was quite poor IMHO for the multi-player, too many weapons were overpowered and the perk system was bullshit. Less bullshit than all the items in TF2 now though.
