So by having SC2 sorted, with the 2v2 i assume this means the scouthut finally ventured into the world wide web?

last LAN we had an 8mb ADSL connection (thank you Zen Internet), same again for this LAN and for all future LANs, that's why we put the price up slightly

that doesn't mean it will be open for MMO players though

We announced internetz at the last one, admittedly not made grand mention of it this time round

But yeah, it's still there

Had some minor issues which we got ironed out by the end of it if I remember right, by moving the firewall to another server

the plan is to have access to lobies for LAN games, not internet games

depending on what I can pull off with the firewall etc. If the connection gets too congested it may require a rethink though

Yes indeedy, it's a dedicated line but it's to facilitate the LAN action, in fact KF may be able to set the record straight here but I believe sorting ourselves an ADSL line was 90% because of Steam's total mental breakdown without a connection to the mothership!

So we do ask that people be considerate in their use of what the open ports permit

that was pretty much the killer reason to get a dedicated line. It made quite a difference at the last LAN as we people could actually play some of the games etc

its just there so that steam can't complain. so don't get your hopes up russki.

and come to think of it, not a single person will be able to play Starcraft 2 without a connection.
