Right,

I'm getting servers configured for the LAN, TF2 is ok, COD4 is in progress (but a pain in the arse) and UT3K4 is ok.

My problems now come with CnC3 (dedicated server anyone?) and configs.

If anyone has any game servers running any of these games, and can provide configs they would be handy and save me a lot of time :)

TF2 is covered config wise, and I have a basic UT2K4 config from previous LANs, so COD4 and CnC3 are the main areas I would like assistance if anyone has any experience.

I use this site for COD4 configs. It's damn useful and I can vouch that the configs work perfectly. Had them successfully running now @ 2 other LANs.

CNC3 There is no dedi server.

Annoying, but makes my life easier ;)

Any recomendations on setup for games, means we can publish guidelines. Or is it not configurable?

I have found that the maps are two small for what they are intended, for example the 4 player maps are better for 1v1 and the 8 player maps better for 2v2, the other thing is getting the balance for starting resources, i forget what is a good amount.
Ill have a look later.

Back to COD4, for the matches can there any chance get a competition mod up there such as PAM or the latest PROMOD.

Just it evens everything up and takes the bugs away and stuff... just a idea,, i am happy we got a COD4 tourney so what ever you do is fine.

Plus we going to get told.. well there is only 2 teams playing it so....... maybe we can make it a series of games.

I'll see what I can do with the mods, setting up a dedicated server appears to be an arse anyway :S

as for the format of the tournament, I have little doubt more people will sign up, although we may only get 4 teams.

Again. I have COD4 Pam mod available if required and also if you use that url i provided earlier you'll see that it's simple to change them for mod use.

cnc3: no servers needed.. there are about 5 maps commonly used for tournaments, they are:

Tournament Tower
Tournament Dustbowl
Tournament Decision
Tournament Rift
Tournament Arena


tournaments are normally standard single/double elim tournament brackets :).
