Offical LlamaLAN Game Chat..... well ish.....

Hi, well this is the game chat that is needed... i am currently at i33 bored and waiting for mum to come and pick me, with her slow driving i be here at 7 o'clock lol


So game chat.....

LlamaLAN 10, well 10 can be represented as Decade and Decade sounds really old, so maybe we should have some classic game tournaments... it can be the theme "Old Games"

Also maybe a little variety within the tournaments like FPS and Strategy games aswell.

My FPS idea for a good team game has to be Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, it is a free multiplayer game, great for teamwork as you need it to win....

And my Strategy Game is Red Alert 2... it a good and easy game to play, it can be team based or deathmatch based, it a cheap game, i think i saw it in tescos for £4

Variety is a good thing, however, variety at the cost of people being able to play because of a lack of players with a game installed is not. All I can say is that RTSes will be considered if there is a significant proportion of people with a game installed. In that regard could people added ANY games they have installed and would CONSIDER playing to their lists instead of 'just those that I REALLY WANT to play'. That way we may get a few more RTS games thrown into the mix.

A good choice, we like the idea of having free games that people DON'T have an excuse NOT to play, and that is as good a game as any. You may recall that the free game Warsow proved quite popular at LlamaLAN 9. If there is no clear front runner for the big team game then this might be considered.

Again a good selection, and if enough people express an interest then it may well be used.

So present and future LlamaLANners, all suggestions welcome, but please make sure that your ideas are reflected in your game lists on your profiles, and remember that the only votes that really count are those from fully paid up attendees to the next event.

So, keep the ideas flowing and the signups plentiful

On a slightly related note, the sooner you add these games to your choices, the better! I know some people have trouble doing this, so please try it sooner rather than later, so the admins have time to help you out!

i was about to post about the command and conquer first game is out for free.... yeah like i said this is just ideas, helping out the hard working admins of LlamaLAN if people placed there suggestions down the forums you can get a rough idea...

warsow is a great game to be honest, i preferred it then UT 2004 and it is free, maybe if you did that for your 1 vs 1 we get a better tournament and alot more people trying to get involved.

I used to play wolfenstein in a American PRO clan about 2 years ago and i tell you, it not skill level it all about teamwork and tactics, alot like Team Fortess, not skill based but tactical based

I not keen on strategy games really but i wouldn't mind playing them at LAN if i had someone to play with.......

if you do end up choosing ET as your main game or even ET as a tourny i am willing to help you out, i used to compete in ET and have some experiance, i can help you on rules and what maps to play and stuff like that...... just a suggestion

A quick note, installing CnC on XP is awkward (but instructions provided), however installing on Vista is near impossible, if I get it working I'll let you know.

C&C3 or starcraft maybe even warcraft 3, deff gotta have a cod 4 tourney of some sort, ut2k4 rematch with yazor, warhammer/DOW, settlers 6, ut3, some sort of racing game would be nice like need for speed most wanted, pro streed or underground 2 ummmm.... thats all i can really think of right now...

racing games sound cool........ maybe one on the 360..... on the projector using system link or as we might go for classic it can be a old racing game... original GT or something similar to it?
