Any chance of uploading the vids anywhere?

Really interested in watching them as I never got to see them. ]=(

I don't think that Kanonfodda would appreciate me uploading 90Gb of footage onto the site and the subsequent bandwidth bills.

I also think that CD can get it down to less than 90gb, although I accept it won't be straight away :)

By my estimations it would take around 820 hours at my current upload speeds, I have experimented with several compression levels so far, one 20 minute match was able to be compressed to about 60Mb but was unwatchable and took about 2 hours to render, I will be continuing to experiment with various formats, resolutions and compression levels and try and get something watchable.

Excellent, we look forward to the results.

60mb we should be able to host without too much impact :)

They are never going to be 60Mb, they'll have to be larger, by how much, I'm not sure at the moment, but you're probably looking at about 200Mb+ for each 20 minute match so that they are actually watchable.

I'll tell you what. If you want to put the vids (as is) onto some DVD's and send them to me, I'll get my servers to render them to a compressed watchable format, and then upload them where need be. Or maybe even make a vid.

I'll refund you the DVD's and postage!

Maybe we can setup a torrent of them, when they are done?

You're probably already doing this, but check that the audio is compressing as mp3 as well as that can save several MBs.

When they're compressed to something acceptable (like 250mb or something), get them up on Filefront, making sure you submit it as a video file. Filefront automatically provides a low bandwidth steaming version on the download page (after an hour or more). :)

e.g. http://files.filefront.com/heteamavi/;9 ... einfo.html

Using the last final as my experiment I have got a reasonable quality video at under 200Mb, but unfortunately I noticed that all the sound was out of sync, so a few more tweaks and a lot of rendering and we'll be ready to go.

I've had sound sync probs when compressing vids too... a real pain when you've done the whole thing only to find you need to do it again. :( Fortunately Audiodub allows you to nudge the soundtrack. Looking forward to the result. :D
